The basic responsibilities of the department are to impart teaching learning activities, carry on research activities, dedicated patient care and community services.
The department undertakes the Teaching Learning activities to the certificate and bachelor courses of Nursing in addition its nursing sub-speciality of M.Sc. students. The postgraduate course comprises of Ward postings, Clinical classes, seminars and clinical presentations. Patient care and community services are also carried on along with the Research activities.
The department further plans to start Diploma courses in critical care nursing and OT of 1 year duration. Further short term training on Dialysis Nursing is also on the pipeline.
